About Us
BPL welcomed Kathy VanDeursen on January 5, 2009. You have probably met her by now and enjoyed her friendly advice and interest in all patrons. She attends conferences and workshops and feels she is learning every day. Kathy has lived in Bartlett for 14 years and is active in all aspects of the valley. As an English Literature major at Bates College she developed a strong interest in libraries and literacy. You probably recognize her name as the top skier this year, winning the Mountain Meisters racing series at Cranmore. She also coaches the middle school ski team at Josiah Bartlett and the JV division (8-10 year-olds) for the Attitash race team and plays hockey in the women’s league at Ham Arena.
Kathy enjoys her new role and is doing an exceptional job!
Beth Lincoln joined the staff October, 2007, and will be there most Saturdays. During the school day, the library is serviced by Josiah Bartlett Elementary staff.
Jean Garland continues to be a valuable resource to the library, answering questions and filling in as needed.
Due to space restraints, both inside and outside the building, the Trustees are moving in the direction of planning and constructing its own building. This concept is very exciting, as it will be a first for Bartlett, and any and all help or suggestions concerning this project are most welcome. Community support is instrumental to the success of this endeavor.
