School Vacation, the Library is OPEN!

The Public Library hours do not change during school vacation.  This is a perfect time for families to visit for reading materials and a good time to add in an introduction to Hoopla if you are not already using it. There is something for every age, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, movies/TV and music! If you find it difficult to get to the library during our regular hours but are interested in electronic resources please call or e-mail – we would be happy to walk you thru it in this way, 603-374-2755,

HOOPLA is here! FREE TO PATRONS!

What exactly is Hoopla?  Hoopla is a digital platform giving library cardholders instant (and simultaneous – no more holds or wait-lists) to over a million titles in 7 different formats: Audiobooks, eBooks, Movies, Television, Music, Comics and Bingepass. Think of streaming movies the way you do with your current subscription (Netflix/Paramount/Prime/Hulu etc.?) or if you don’t have a streaming subscription learn how to log on to hoopla and then you will!  Call or e-mail the library to find out just how easy it is to take advantage of this service.

A Cup Of Tea/Amy Ephron Tuesday, April 8th 7pm

.”Please join us for a discussion of A Cup of Tea: A Novel of 1917 by Amy Ephron. “Inspired by a classic Katherine Mansfield short story, A Cup of Tea engages with its vivid –– and often amusing –– cast of characters, wonderful period detail, brilliant evocation of the uncertain days of World War I, and delightfully spare and picturesque sense of story.”  The short story which inspired this novel can be found online at  https://opentextbc.ca/englishliterature/chapter/a-cup-of-tea/.  If you are having trouble with the online version a printed copy of the short story is available in the library.  Julia King will facilitate the thoughtful consideration of writing inspirationally from older authors from different times.  This evening promises to be both educational and engaging.  Copies of the book are available in the library, call or e-mail with questions, 603-374-2755, .
